The software does exactly what it says, converts a DVD to most used formats known: copy/backup, Mp4, iTunes, MOV, Music (mp3), MPEG, FLV; or pre-established formats such as iPhone, iPad, iPod, Apple TV, PSP and AVI. With each format you have more than enough options to customize your rip into any kind of file using all sort of settings from audio, video to advanced system settings such as multiple CPU core used etc.

The software is quite easy to use, it has default settings for each format to satisfy your needs even if your knowledge about conversions is minimal. For PSP or other devices some formats might not be accepted, you have to pay attention at the requirements.

The conversion time depends of your Mac's performance, free OS resources and the format which you are converting into.
For example on an iMac Dual Core and 720p Apple TV conversion, one minute is equal to 10 minutes of conversion waiting time.
No worries, if you really want to convert an entire DVD-movie in the highest format available, you can check "shutdown computer when conversion completed" and leave the Mac on during the conversion. Other smaller resolutions and formats would take significantly less time.

Pluses: The software works flawlessly, exactly as advertised. Some of the best default settings for conversion I ever encountered. 

Drawbacks / flaws: The software does not and will not read dmg/iso files. You have to load/mount them and after that, choose a path to the disk. Be very careful, ripping a DVD makes the disk work more than usual, some disks might overheat. (in my tests after 5min conversion from DVD to 720p Apple TV - maximum - the disk was hot when I ejected it
